A safe space to connect with self.

Our Work with Adults

We are proud to deliver a range of creative therapy sessions designed to support adults across our community. Our work currently includes creative wellbeing sessions for over 55s, funded by HRCVS, which offer a safe, nurturing space for relaxation, connection, and self-expression.

We were also proud to be part of a wellbeing and creative day in partnership with the Burnley West Primary Care Network (NHS teams), supporting staff to explore creativity as a pathway to improved mental health and community belonging.

In addition, we offer voluntary placement opportunities for East Lancashire University Centre students, enabling them to gain hands-on experience in creative facilitation and therapeutic approaches within community settings.

Our previous collaborations include working with the local Ukrainian community, where we provided regular creative therapy sessions from a beautiful space within a community hub — fostering connection, creativity, and introspection during times of change and transition.

Anne, Over 55’s Creative Therapy Participant

“Creativity unlocks thoughts about yourself and where you are going in life (if you let it). Some of the activities were dynamic in making you rethink”

John, Over 55’s Creative Therapy Participant

“I feel rejuvenated, I have enjoyed doing creative activities - things I haven’t done since my school days.”

Tracey, Over 55’s Creative Therapy Participant

“It has allowed me to pick myself up, brush myself off and think ‘ I can do this’! I realise how lucky I am and how there are people with much heavier hearts".”

Joanne, Over 55’s Creative Therapy Participant

“I have found a sense of community from coming together and showing our vulnerabilities.”

Ruth Thompson; Support for Ukraine

“Our guests really found the session so helpful and special. We can’t thank you enough. It has taken a long time to get to the point where this feels right for them.”
